How often do carpets need cleaning?

Having your carpet professionally cleaned a minimum of once per year can extend its life. The continued friction between carpet fibers against the dirt tracked into your home can, over time, wear down your carpets fibers. In some cases a new carpet warranty will even be voided if the homeowner does not clean the carpet once per year using the hot water extraction method.

How will you clean my carpets?

We’ll clean your carpets using the hot water extraction method, also referred to as steam cleaning. Hot water extraction is the preferred method of carpet manufacturers. In this method of cleaning, first excess dirt and soil is removed with a dry vacuum, next a pressurized, heated cleaning solution is injected into the carpet, and as the solution pushes the dirt to the surface, it is removed by a wet vacuum and leaves behind no residue.

What will you use on my carpets?

The solution we use in our carpet and upholstery cleaning is Young Living Thieves Household Cleaner. This cleaner is plant based and contains certain healthy essential oils which are are found to be extremely effective at killing germs and bacteria which cause odors. It is also safe for family and pets. We want your to leave your home not only cleaner, but healthier for you and your family.

What about residue?

No professional cleaning technician should ever leave behind any residue if they are cleaning your carpets correctly. The solution used is important, but carpets are cleaned not only by the solution, but by the force of its flushing out, which helps lift the dirt and debris up and out of the carpet.

What’s the difference between this and a rental?

A few things. A rental machine does not have the power behind it that a professional machine does, therefore, along with the inability to lift as much dirt and bacteria out, there is also a greater likelihood of leaving a chemical residue behind. A professional knows how much solution to use, how much water to apply and has powerful equipment to extract it back out again. There is less chance for costly mistakes.

How long will it take to dry? 

When we’re finished your carpets will be a little damp, but they will not be squishy. A high-powered extractor is used to remove moisture. You will be able to walk on your carpets with socks on, and in most cases, they’ll be completely dry within 6-8 hours. The drying process can be accelerated with the use of fans or air conditioning.
